ACLogics allows you to translate completed HVAC diagnoses and field findings into professional, customer-ready PDF service reports. This guide outlines how to generate, customize, edit, and export reports directly from the application.
1. Generating a Service Report
Once you have recorded sufficient inspection steps and identified a root cause in your active diagnosis, you can compile the service report:
- Open the target diagnosis and tap Reports. This section displays existing reports for the diagnosis and allows you to create a new one.
- Enter the required details: Location (entered address), Model Number, and Serial Number.
- Select your preferred Report Language. The report language can be selected independently of your app or diagnosis language.
- Tap Generate Report to compile the document.
[!IMPORTANT] Language Locking: Once a report is generated, you cannot change its language. If you need a report in a different language, you must click generate again to create a new report.
[!NOTE] Internet Required: Generating a new service report requires an active internet connection to compile the findings and build the document against our cloud template services.
2. What is Included in the PDF Report?
Each generated report contains the following key information:
- Technician & Time: The technician’s name and the date/time the report was compiled.
- Site Information: The location address entered during setup.
- Equipment Details: Model Number and Serial Number.
- Service Summary:
- Work Completed: Summary of completed inspection steps and service actions.
- Root Cause Analysis: Clear documentation of the component or mechanical failure identified.
- Recommended Parts & Spares: Dedicated list of replacement components required to resolve the issue.
3. Editing and Customizing Reports
Before sharing the document with a client, you can review and refine the sections:
- Modifying Content: Tap Edit within any completed report section (such as inspection notes or parts lists) to manually override or expand the generated text.
- Save Edits: Edits are automatically saved and merged into the final PDF.
- Editing Restrictions: Completed reports that have been finalized or archived by an administrator may be locked against further changes.
4. Exporting and Sharing PDFs
To deliver the finalized report to your client or office:
- Open the completed report and tap Export PDF.
- Wait a brief moment for the device to compile the PDF layout.
- Use the standard iOS Share Sheet to select your delivery method:
- Send directly via Email or Messages.
- Save the file to your device’s local Files app.
- Upload the report to your company’s CRM or job management software.
[!NOTE] For security, ACLogics currently shares reports exclusively as standard PDF files. Web-based sharing links are not exposed in the client UI.
