1. Introduction

AC Logics ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered HVAC diagnostic assistant service (the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Personal Information We Collect

We collect information that you strictly provide to us directly and information that is automatically collected when you use the Service.

Authentication Data

We use third-party authentication providers (e.g., Clerk) to manage user identity. We may collect your email address, name, and unique user identifiers provided by these services.

Diagnostic Information

When you use our diagnostic tools, we collect the HVAC system details you provide, including problem descriptions, symptoms, and optional job site information (such as city or zip code) to enhance diagnostic accuracy.

AI Interaction Content

We process and store the text of your conversations with our AI assistant, including diagnostic summaries and generated solution plans, to provide the Service and improve our models.

Image Data

Our Service analyzes images you upload (e.g., equipment labels, wiring diagrams). Transient Image Processing: Base64 image data is processed in real-time by our AI vision models and is not permanently stored in its raw form after analysis is complete. We retain only the extracted metadata (e.g., model numbers, serial numbers, error codes).

Usage Data

We automatically collect technical data including IP addresses, browser types, device information, and interaction logs to monitor Service stability and prevent abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: Processing your inputs to generate accurate HVAC diagnostics and repair steps.
  • To Improve Our AI: Anonymized interaction data may be used to fine-tune our models, improving accuracy for all users.
  • To Ensure Safety: Monitoring for and preventing unsafe usage patterns or requests that violate our safety guidelines.
  • To Maintain Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, and other illegal activities.

4. Disclosing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our Service, such as cloud hosting providers (e.g., Vercel, AWS) and authentication services.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or protect the personal safety of users or the public.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Account information is retained while your account is active. Specific diagnostic reports may be deleted automatically after a set expiration period or upon your request.

6. Your Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those from your jurisdiction.
