Getting started
What ACLogics does and where it fits
Explain what ACLogics is, who should use it, what it can help with, and where technician judgment still comes first.
ACLogics is an AI-assisted diagnostic platform developed specifically for HVAC technicians and service teams. By combining real-time field context with structured troubleshooting logic, the app helps turn complex symptoms, error codes, and readings into actionable, guided inspection workflows.
1. Core Capabilities & Handy Tools
ACLogics supports HVAC technicians in the field with core diagnostic functions and a suite of handy supportive tools.
Core Capabilities
These central features drive the primary troubleshooting and reporting workflow:
- Guided Diagnostics: Generates tailored troubleshooting sequences based on your specific system symptoms.
- Technical Follow-up: Supports interactive queries to investigate secondary symptoms or component checks.
- Error Code Lookup: Provides immediate diagnostic guidance for supported manufacturer error codes.
- Diagnostic History: Retains 90 days of diagnostic history, allowing you to review past jobs and learn from previous calls at any time.
- Professional Reports: Creates structured, client-ready service summaries based on your completed diagnoses.
Handy Field Tools
In addition to core diagnostics, the app includes supporting utilities to streamline onsite tasks:
- Nameplate OCR Scanning: Automatically parses model, serial, and brand details from equipment stickers.
- Field Calculators: Includes dedicated airflow, sizing, and duct calculators.
2. Professional Boundaries and Judgment
ACLogics is designed to assist your workflow, not replace professional diagnostic expertise:
[!WARNING] Technician Judgment First: The application cannot physical test equipment, verify electrical safety, interpret local building codes, or supersede safety warnings. If a physical field measurement conflicts with a suggestion in the app, always trust your physical measurements and investigate the discrepancy.
3. Supported Error Code Brands
Our database provides dedicated troubleshooting instructions for a wide variety of manufacturer control boards:

ACLogics optimizes its troubleshooting workflows based on the selected equipment type:
- AC Only: Conventional split-system and package cooling-only air conditioners.
- Air Handler: Electric heating and indoor blower modules.
- Gas Furnace: Natural gas, propane, and dual-fuel heating systems.
- Heat Pump: Reversing valve operations, defrost cycles, and multi-stage heating/cooling.
- Other: Mini-split systems, high-velocity duct systems, or package units that do not fit standard categories.
- Unknown: Use this option if you are in the initial phase of a service call and do not have technical system details yet.
