Diagnosis

Start a new diagnosis

Walk through the 3-step intake wizard: scan an equipment nameplate, enter the error code, describe the symptom, then generate a guided troubleshooting workflow.

ACLogics uses AI-driven diagnostics to turn equipment details and symptoms into structured, step-by-step troubleshooting workflows. Starting a job now walks you through a short three-step intake wizard so the AI has the equipment, the error code, and the symptom before it builds your plan. This guide covers how to begin a session, what each step does, what happens during analysis, and how to find past jobs.

1. Starting From the Home Screen

When you open the app you land on the Home tab. To begin, tap Enter error code or symptom at the top.

2. Step 1 of 3 — Tell Me About Your Machine

The first step captures the equipment. Under Equipment Nameplate you have three choices:

  • + Add nameplate — Scan the unit’s nameplate so the app can read the equipment details for the best match.
  • Enter brand info manually — Type the brand and model yourself.
  • SKIP — Continue without equipment details.

[!TIP] You can keep going while the scan runs in the background — you don’t have to wait on Step 1 to move forward.

Scanning and confirming a nameplate

  1. Tap + Add nameplate, then Scan a new nameplate.
  2. Take a photo or pick an existing one from your photo library.
  3. The app reads the plate and opens the Confirm nameplate review sheet, pre-filling:
    • Brand
    • Model
    • Serial Number
    • MFG Date — When the date is inferred rather than printed, it is marked ESTIMATED.
  4. Check the values against the photo and correct anything that’s off.
  5. Tap Confirm and save nameplate.

Once saved, Step 1 shows a summary card for the equipment (with Update and View buttons) plus the captured Brand and Model Number. Tap NEXT to continue.

3. Step 2 of 3 — Do You Know the Error Code?

If the unit is displaying a fault code, enter it here (for example, E5) and tap NEXT. If it isn’t, tap I don’t have an error code to skip ahead. Providing the code helps the AI narrow the likely causes.

4. Step 3 of 3 — What’s Going On?

The final step captures the symptom in your own words:

  • Reply language — Use the REPLY IN: ENGLISH selector to change the language the AI responds in.
  • Symptom box — Type the complaint in the Error code or Symptom field, or tap the microphone to dictate it by voice.
  • When you’re ready, tap ANALYZE SYMPTOM to submit.

A combined entry might read: “System has E5 error code and is not cooling.”

5. What Happens During Analysis?

After you tap Analyze Symptom, ACLogics compiles a customized inspection plan:

  • Processing Time: Requests usually take 30 to 50 seconds to analyze and compile.
  • No need to wait: You don’t have to stay in the app while the workflow loads — you can leave and come back. If ACLogics offers diagnosis-ready alerts, choose to enable them before the phone asks for notification permission.
  • Failure Handling: If the workflow fails to generate, confirm your cellular or Wi-Fi connection and retry.

6. Workflow Status Labels

Every diagnostic session moves through specific stages, shown as status labels on your job cards and in history:

Status LabelMeaningAction Required
ReceivedThe request is queued for analysis.Wait a moment for generation to begin.
AnalyzingThe system is actively generating your troubleshooting plan.Leave and come back, or enable notifications to be alerted when it’s ready.
ProposedA structured troubleshooting plan is ready.Open the diagnosis to review the candidate issues.

If you leave during intake, reopen New Diagnosis to resume the saved draft. Review the fields before submitting, especially if the app closed or restarted.
